Montreal-based Genetec recently announced the opening of several new R&D hubs and Experience Centers, and the expansion of several offices around the world.

Located in Vienna (Austria), Krakow (Poland), and Orléans (France), the company’s new R&D centres will complement its existing Montreal campus and other R&D facilities in Quebec City and Sherbrooke, Que., Paris (France), and Bruges (Belgium).

“These new offices serve as innovation hubs, fostering collaboration amongst our developers as they build the forward-thinking technology that Genetec is known for. Our newest R&D centres will bolster existing initiatives and new capabilities such as intelligent automation,” said Christian Morin, vice-president of product engineering, Genetec, in a statement. Morin added that Genetec has also expanded its R&D team by 50 per cent in the last five years.

Genetec has also recently opened three new Experience Centers in Washington D.C., Sydney (Australia), and Dubai (UAE), in addition to its existing flagship Experience Centers in Montreal, Paris (France), London (U.K.), Singapore, and Mexico City.
