Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a provider of networking, communications, and cloud solutions, and Axis Communications have signed a partner agreement aimed at developing technology-driven solutions and creating value for their channels and end users, according to a statement from Alcatel-Lucent.
The partnership will drive technological advancements in critical networking and communications, cyber and physical security, IT/OT convergence and automation, according to the company.
Through the partnership with Axis, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise says it will “seek to introduce cutting-edge technologies that enhance and streamline workflows and improve overall security and operational efficiency for their partners and customers.”
Axis and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise will focus on co-developing solutions in video surveillance, access control, communications, and infrastructure and networking technologies.
The companies aim to deliver solutions that address the needs of industries such as transportation, government (including smart cities) and education sectors. The collaboration between Axis and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise builds upon their existing solutions in cloud communications, including Workflow automation for smart cities.

It continues to build on our strategy to co-innovate with fellow industry leaders in the video surveillance ecosystem to deliver value to our shared integrators and customers,” said Aaron Cole, North Americas VP of sales, strategic industries, at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, in a statement.
